The French Market is reputed to be America’s oldest marketplace. Originally built in 1791 to house the Choctaw Indians and German
traders who came to New Olreans to sell their wares. Produce, groceries and restaurants can all be found here.

If you look in the center of the picture above, notice a guy in a black tee-shirt and a red cap. That’s Jay, the co-author of our
website. Just in front of him, wearing a large white tee-shirt is his daughter, Robyn. I hope Jay doesn’t go crazy in here today...there’s lots of stuff to pick from!
Now, while we’re on the subject, below is our other co-author, Gil. He’s playing with fire on this one. Let’s see, is he going to
either get his head chomped, or have to pay for a $5,000 stuffed ’gator? I think he managed to survive this one to tell the story. Way to go, Gil!

Dear Guests: We have worked very hard on this site in hopes that it will educate, inform, and entertain. All donations are appreciated, once we get our
tip jar back up, but if you can’t do that, please donate a little of your time to signing the guestbook below and let us know what you think. As always, we appreciate your comments. Thanks, Gil Davis
